Caribou announces new album ‘Suddenly’
Dan Snaith has also shared new track ‘You and I’.
After returning with October’s ‘Home’, Caribou - aka Dan Snaith - gave us our first taste of new music following his 2014 record ‘Our Love’, and now he’s sharing the news that there’s another Caribou album on the way!
Announced today, his seventh studio album ‘Suddenly’ will be out on 28th February via City Slang, and promises to be the “most surprising and unpredictable Caribou album to date”. Exciting, eh?
Well, to get us even more pumped, he’s also sharing new album cut ‘You and I’, a woozy, dreamy love song full of glitchy vocals and twinkling production, climaxing in a guitar solo. Lovely.
“‘You and I’ was one of the first tracks on the album that I started and one of the last tracks I finished - it existed in some form or other throughout the whole arc of making the record,” Dan explains. “It also captures a lot of what the record, and the title of the album, are about - the track changes suddenly and unpredictably and it is about a change in my life that happened out of the blue.”
