Caribou shares new live album, featuring Four Tet
‘CVE Live 2011’ is available on Bandcamp with proceeds going to charity.
Dan Snaith aka Caribou has shared a live album on Bandcamp, featuring Four Tet, James Holden and Sinkane performing in a 11-piece live set up. The recordings of the performances come from concerts in Ghent, Belgium and London, UK, which were part of Caribou’s tour to support the breakthrough album ‘Swim’ in 2011.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Snaith’s ‘CVE Live 2011’ has been released in a physical format to special stores, with all proceeds going towards Gendered Intelligence, a benefit that focuses on teaching gender diversity through creative arts. The profits are in memory of their late friend and sound engineer Julia Brightly who worked with Caribou for over a decade.
Caribou’s also posted a video playlist from the same tour which took place at an ATP festival that features Sun Ra Arkestra’s Marshall Allen and can be watched below. Listen to ‘CVE Live 2011’ below.
