Carly Rae Jepsen covers Years & Years’ ‘King’
The Canadian pop star put a surprisingly paired-back spin on the original.
Carly Rae Jepsen headed into BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge yesterday, and covered on Years & Years’ ‘King’. Usually at the helm of certified pop bangers like ‘Call Me Maybe’ and ‘I Really Like You,’ this reworking sees the Canadian singer take a more pared-back approach.
Carly Rae Jepsen released her latest album ‘E·MO·TION’ back in June, and meanwhile, Olly Alexander and co. put out their insanely brilliant debut ‘Communion’ in July this year.
