Chance The Rapper has been named Chicagoan Of The Year

One for the CV, that.

Chance The Rapper’s totted up a few accolades in his time, but surely nothing compares to this - he’s been named Chicagoan Of The Year by his hometown’s Chicago Magazine.

In fairness, he probably deserves it. He might not have released an album this year, but he did organise a free music festival for Chicago teenagers, hosting open mic nights that included a Kanye performance, and organising #SaveChicago, the city’s anti-violence campaign. Decent bloke, then.

Chance’s latest single ‘Angels’ is available for free (more details on that here), as is his collaboration with The Social Experiment. Oh, almost forgot, he INVENTED HIS OWN BEER. That’s not free though. Sorry.
