Watch Chance The Rapper debut a new song on Colbert
“I’ve been wanting to do something fresh,” he says.
Last night (25th September), Chance The Rapper was the musical guest on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and took the opportunity to play a new song.
A slow, calm number, Chancellor Bennett ponders his relationship with his daughter, singing “My daughter barely recognises me when I lose the hat”.
Chance then sat down to talk to Colbert, a chat in which he revealed that he’s not set to run for Chicago mayor has many had reported, and to talk about his well-documented support for the city’s public schools.
Watch the performance and the interview below.
