Chrissie Hynde, Andy McCluskey & Erin Tonkon for Liverpool’s Sound City+ conference

The event will also feature talks from the likes of the BBC’s Huw Stephens and Blur drummer Dave Rowntree

Chrissie Hynde, Andy McCluskey and Erin Tonkon are three of the latest additions to Liverpool Sound City’s conference line-up.

Sound City+ will run from Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th May and will also feature talks from the likes of the BBC’s Huw Stephens and Blur drummer Dave Rowntree, with Hynde, McClusky - who was co-creator and co-songwriter of Atomic Kitten, don’tchaknow - and sound engineer Tonkon now joining that same bill.

The conference will launch on the Friday at the British Music Experience and take place across the Baltic Triangle all weekend.

Full of key-note talks, panels and masterclasses, Sound City+ will feature conversations ranging from how the game has changed for women in A&R, the impact of Brexit and more. Some of the panel titles include Getting signed…Who, how and why?, BPI Presents: Streaming & Playlists Explained, and How to build your A team: An artist’s guide to budgets, contracts and law.

Sound City 2019 will be headlined by Loyle Carner, Mabel and Shame, with the likes of The Magic Gang and Blaenavon also heading to Liverpool in May.
