Cliffords announce new EP ‘Salt of the Lee’ and share second single ‘Dungarvan Bay’
The new track follows the previously released ‘Bittersweet’.

Cliffords will be releasing a brand new EP - entitled ‘Salt of the Lee’ - on 30th May. The Irish band have shared the news alongside their second single from the forthcoming release, ‘Dungarvan Bay’.
“’Dungarvan Bay’ is a song about growing with grief,” vocalist Iona Lynch has said of the new track. “Two years ago, a college friend of mine passed away and for me, and for a lot of my friends, it was our first proper encounter with grief.
“The first half of the song was written within a week of his passing when I felt all consumed by the sadness,” she continues. “The second half of the song I wrote a year later. I realised I still carried a lot of that grief and sadness with me but through the community of his friends and family, we had found ways to grow with it.”
Lynch added: “I wanted the song to show all the different emotions that come with loss; that there can be great moments of humour, joy and growth. And whilst it will never truly leave you, things will change over time.”
This new music follows the Cork band’s first EP, ‘Strawberry Scented’, which was independently funded and released back in 2024. ‘Salt of the Lee’ now marks the start of a new era for the quartet as signees of newly formed label Soil To The Sun, and saw them work with producer Richie Kennedy at London’s Battery Studios.
