Walt Disco announce self-titled debut album, share new single ‘Lies’

Following years of graft and determination, Walt Disco announced their self-titled third LP ‘walt disco’ via EMI North this Autumn, alongside today’s soaring new single, ‘Lies’.

After two acclaimed albums, 2022’s ‘Unlearning’ and 2024’s ‘The Warping’, the Glasgow quintet have returned with their latest full-length offering, set to drop on 2nd October.

Arriving after recent preview track ‘Coup de foudre’, the band’s third album sees them spinning themes of gender dysphoria, self-doubt and an unpredictable music industry into their most ambitious and expansive work to date.

Their latest single, ‘Lies’, encapsulates the essence of this upcoming record, with vocalist Jocelyn Si’s struggles with self-worth in music and their identity being a through-line through both the track and the LP.  Championing the wider Glasgow creative scene, the single’s accompanying found-footage horror-inspired video was filmed at Glasgow arts space and DIY venue EXIT.

The announcement of ‘walt disco’ follows the band’s recent intimate UK headline tour and ushers in a new epoch for the group who recently signed to Leeds-based label EMI North.
