Wolf Alice, Courtney Barnett, and Kendrick Lamar pick up Grammy nominations
The awards take place on February 15th.
The nominees for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards are out, with the ceremony taking place on February 15th next year in L.A. The awards take place at the Staples centre.
Following a whirlwind year, Courtney Barnett has picked up a nomination for Best New Artist. Wolf Alice are up for Best Rock Performance with the gigantic ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’ from their debut album ‘My Love Is Cool,’ and both Tame Impala and Bjork are in the running to win Best Alternative Album.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar is up for Album of the Year, Best Rap Performance (with ‘Alright’), and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for These Walls. Alabama Shakes and The Weeknd are both in the running for Album of the Year. Predictably Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are all over the nominations like pop-singing flannels, with D’Angelo and Mark Ronson also making appearances.
