Courtney Barnett shares Jack White-produced ‘Boxing Day Blues (Revisited)’
An epilogue to ‘Boxing Day Blues’ from Aussie’s debut LP.
Courtney Barnett has revealed the a-side for her new single on Third Man Records, ‘Boxing Day Blues (Revisited)’.
The new track is joined by a cover of ‘Shivers’ by Boys Next Door, and follows Barnett’s ‘Boxing Day Blues’ track from her debut full-length ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit’.
The new revisited version of the track, produced by Jack White, is much punchier than the floaty LP-closer, with Barnett itchily exclaiming “Why you so calm? / I wanna shout / I wanna rip my goddamn throat out.”
‘Sometimes I Sit…’ was released back in March, and Barnett is set to continue touring the record through the rest of 2015, with UK shows set for November and early December.
Listen to ‘Boxing Day Blues (Revisited) below. The single is out now on Third Man Records.
