Courtney Barnett has announced that she is to perform Patti Smith’s ‘Horses’ in full at the Melbourne Festival.

The Melbourne Festival will see performances from The Fall, Laura Marling, and The Field and takes place between 8th-25th October.

Barnett’s homage is a one-off show at the Melbourne Town Hall, with Jen Cloher, The Drones’ Gareth Liddiard and Magic Dirt’s Adalita joining her in recreating the album live. Organisers state that the special event will be “an act of heartfelt homage that promises to be both hypnotic and exhilarating.”

For further details and tickets on the exclusive event, head to the Melbourne Festival website.

Earlier this week, Courtney Barnett shared a new teaser video online for (possibly) ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To The Party’. Watch the video below.

Courtney Barnett’s debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’ is out now.
