Ooo!
Courtney Barnett’s been collaborating with The Breeders
Barnett and her band stopped by The Breeders’ Ohio studio mid-tour.

Sound the ‘Cannonball’ klaxon - it looks like Courtney Barnett’s been working with The Breeders.
The band - who are currently recording a new album in Ohio - posted a photo of a demo CD, with Barnett Quintet scrawled across the front in sharpie. “Courtney Barnett’s band – in town yesterday to play at Nelsonville [festival] – visited us in the studio,” The Breeders wrote. “Of course, we had them sing backup vocals on a song…”
The Breeders are current working on new material with the same line-up as ‘Last Splash’. Kim Deal, her sister Kelley Deal, bassist Josephine Wiggs and drummer Jim Macpherson are all in the studio.
Courtney Barnett will play Bilbao BBK Live (7th-9th July) and Latitude (14th-17th July) where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
