Cut Worms releases double single, ‘I’ll Never Make It’ / ‘Don’t Fade Out’
The two tracks come from his forthcoming self-titled album.
Brooklyn singer-songwriter Cut Worms - the artistic alias of Max Clarke - has today shared two new singles from his self-titled album, out on 21st July via Jagjaguwar. ‘I’ll Never Make It’ is a delicate, romantic jaunt, while the B-side - and album opener - ‘Don’t Fade Out’ is an Americana-tinged track featuring Brian and Michael D’Addario of The Lemon Twigs (who take up piano and bass respectively).
Spotlighting stripped back production and meandering guitar lines, the record is the product of a self-imposed mission to remove extraneous additions and focus solely on the musical core. The singles come ahead of an intimate three-night residency at Brooklyn’s Union Pool, where Max will be joined by a series of guests: comedian Joe Pera; collaborators The Lemon Twigs; Joanna Sternberg; and Adam Green. He’ll also be going on a huge North American headline tour in support of the record, for which tickets are on sale now.
