Details of Jonny Greenwood’s Inherent Vice soundtrack revealed

Full tracklisting features new take on Radiohead song ‘Spooks’.

Full details of Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to Inherent Vice - Paul Thomas Anderson’s soon-to-be-released on-screen adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s 2009 novel - have emerged.

Set for release on December 15, three days after the U.S opening of the film, the soundtrack is dominated by original Greenwood compositions but also features songs from artists as diverse as Can, Minnie Riperton and Neil Young.

The main point of interest here, though, is the appearance of ‘Spooks’ - an unreleased Radiohead song that been re-worked with the help of two, as of yet, unnamed Supergrass members.

No stranger to soundtracking films, Greenwood’s work on Inherent Vice sees him add to a glistening film-scoring CV that includes There Will Be Blood, Norwegian Wood and We Need To Talk About Kevin.
