DIY partners with BIMM Music Institute for The Great Escape 2025 showcase

For many years now, DIY have worked alongside BIMM Music Institute to help offer support and guidance to their students, and this year is no different: we’re thrilled to announce that we’re once again partnering with them to present a programme of special events at this year’s The Great Escape Festival.

At this year’s edition of the event, we’ll be joining forces to host a special BIMM x DIY showcase at Brighton’s seafront venue Dust during the day on Friday 16th May, spotlighting an array of stellar BIMM acts from across their different regional campuses (including BIMM Berlin!). What’s more, we’ll be joined by BBC Radio 1 & 1XTRA’s Swarzy, who’ll be hosting the showcase on the day to boot.

As ever, the showcase will be open to anyone with a festival delegate badge or wristband, and it’ll play host to (in order of appearance!): Countrygaze pop star Leah Wilcox; Berlin dark rockers Kings & Pills Britpop-inspired quartet Martina and the Moons; eclectic but energetic indie outfit Bayboards; Wiltshire-born and Bristol-bred spoken word artist G U Y; and reflective London singer Finn Mungo.
