DIY Weekly, 13th May 2013 - Out Now Feat. Swim Deep, London Grammar & More
This week we’re all off to the seaside for The Great Escape.

This week we’re all off to the seaside for The Great Escape, and we’re definitely prepared. We’ve fished out our bucket and spade, comedy sunglasses and suncream (you never know), booked our train tickets (well, nearly), organised our own stage, and tracked down a few of the bands playing for a natter ahead of their sets.
Swim Deep take pride of place on our cover - before they take pride of place headlining DIY’s stage at Audio this Saturday, alongside Superfood, Dan Croll, Concrete Knives and Parlour - whilst we’ve also catch ups with London Grammar, Charlie Boyer & The Voyeurs and Little Green Cars.
A whole heap of Brighton residents give us their tips on the best places to visit, and the best local bands to catch (from Japanese to Thai, from brunch to kebabs), while Chlöe Howl helps us choose between some of the tougher bill clashes on the line up.
Elsewhere in the issue, Editors tell us about their new direction, Vampire Weekend and Yeah Yeah Yeahs both visit London in the same week, Portugal. The Man let us in on what they’re currently up to, and Tomorrow’s World rundown their Top 5 Prince albums - plus loads more.
