Swim Deep share woozy new track ‘Mud’
The band’s forthcoming fifth album is due for release on 19th June.

Birmingham quintet Swim Deep have shared another cut from their forthcoming fifth LP, this time in the form of the gloriously woozy ‘Mud’.
Following on from recent releases ‘I Keep Her Photograph With Me’ and ‘Pieces Of You’, ‘Mud’ doubles as the third preview from the band’s new album, ‘Hum’ - the follow-up to their 2024 effort ‘There’s a Big Star Outside’ - which is due for release on 19th June via Submarine Cat Records.
”’Mud’ was born in our label’s studio, where we would meet up and jam with no real pressure or goal, just friends playing music together and expressing ourselves the only way we know how,” the band’s Austin Williams has said of their latest song. “The chorus came to me, which I immediately thought was too good for it to be an original thought, it’s like seeing a magic trick and being told it’s actually magic, no trick. With all the other things going on in our lives I often forget that the one constant thing is the love I have for my wife every day, this song is about that.”
