dodie celebrates pet love on new single ‘Darling, Angel, Baby’ 

Having recently shared the news that her second solo album ‘Not For Lack Of Trying’ will be arriving on 3rd October (via Decca / Verve), dodie has now unveiled ‘Darling, Angel, Baby’ - a track that pays tribute to the pure, unconditional love she has for her pet cat Mrs. 

“In an album full of pain and confusion and figuring it out, Mrs is such a big part of my life and she brings me so much joy,” she has explained of the track’s wholesome inspirations, neatly summing up just why our animal companions mean so much to us.

The follow up to her 2021 debut ‘Build A Problem’ (since which dodie also became one quarter of indie-pop supergroup FIZZ), ‘Not For Lack Of Trying’ was introduced last month by lead single ‘I Feel Bad For You, Dave’ - a bossa nova-tinged cut whose video features none other than THE Jeff Goldblum.
