After returning last year with their new single ‘Under The Glass’, Leeds-formed art-rockers Drahla are sharing new track ‘Lip Sync’.
“‘Lip Sync’ is an autobiographical account of self deflection,” the band say. “It explores the idea of syncing to social norms, conversation and expressions to converse without being fully present - taking on a converged guise to fit different interactions.”
Drahla released their debut album ‘Useless Coordinates’ in 2019. In our review, we said, “Taking their cues from great artists over great musicians, Drahla could well be the next band to make good on the tried and tested art-school-to-post-punk-stardom trope. Not likely to ever actively chase something so cliched, there’s nevertheless a comfortable position for the trio as Leeds’ answer (in collaboration with London) to Sonic Youth.”
