Drake is the most streamed artist on Spotify this year
‘One Dance’ is also announced as the most streamed song of all time.
This year, Drake notched up 4.7 billion streams on Spotify, making him the service’s most streamed artist of 2016.
He still managed to hold the title despite his latest album ‘Views’ being withheld from the platform for two weeks because of an exclusive deal with Apple. Not only that, but his massive hit single ‘One Dance,’ featuring Wizkid, was announced as the most played song in Spotify’s history, with a massive 960 million streams alone.
Back in May, Drake had already been announced as Spotify’s most streamed artist ever – overtaking Justin Bieber – and witha huge run of dates already planned for early 2017 (including a whopping 6 dates in London), looks like he won’t be letting go of his title anytime soon.
Listen to ‘One Dance’ (and add another stream to that monumental play tally) below.
