Hype: Drake shares short film ‘Please Forgive Me’

It features a handful of songs from his recent album ‘Views’.
Not content with releasing normal music videos like most other artists, Drake’s released a whole action film. Obviously. ‘Please Forgive Me’ is based around his recent album ‘Views,’ and stars the Toronto rapper as a gang member who tries to pull off a million dollar heist.
Popcaan, Fanny Neguesha, Soni Chidiebere and Kyla Reid also star in the 23 minute film, directed by Anthony Mandler (who previously led Drake’s videos for ‘Over,’ ‘Miss Me’ and ‘Fancy’). Along with several Drake songs, the short also features music by Noah “40” Shebib.
Drake filled the film in a single week in Johannesburg. Besides videos for ‘Child’s Play’ and ‘Views’ bonus track ‘Hotline Bling’ this is the only visual from the new record.
Watch a preview below, and head to Apple Music to see the whole of ‘Please Forgive Me’.
