Dua Lipa announced as a winner of the 2017 European Border Breakers Award
She’s a recipient of the award alongside Hinds, Jaako Eino Kalevi and more.
Dua Lipa has just been announced as a winner of the 2017 European Border Breakers Award.
Each year 10 artists receive an EBBA to recognise their achievements outside their own country, which is measured by airplay, sales, live performances on the continent and their overall position in the European Border Breakers Charts. Previous recipients have included Adele and Christine and the Queens.
After a frankly massive 2016, where she’s released a number of killer singles (including ‘Hotter Than Hell’ and ‘Last Dance’) and played all over Europe, Dua Lipa definitely fits that bill. She’s also set to continue her seemingly unstoppable charge to the top in 2017, having recently announced that her debut LP would be coming out in February.
Hinds, Jaako Eino Kalevi, Natalie La Rose, Alan Walker, Namika, Walking On Cars, Filous and Jain were all also recently announced as winners of the 2017 EBBA, with one more recipient to be revealed soon.
