El Vy - the project of The National’s Matt Berninger and Ramona Falls’ Brent Knopf - have unveiled a lyric video for ‘Need a Friend’.
Matt’s brother, Tom Berninger, directs the clip, which also includes footage from Padraic O’Meara. As for the song, it’s another sharp-edged, well executed example of Berninger’s vocal excelling in a completely new environment, one of jolting synths and climatic guitars.
Debut album ‘Return to the Moon’ is out 30th October via 4AD.
