The National’s Matt Berninger announces intimate shows in Leeds and London
He’s set to do a trio of pared-back performances at Brudenell Social Club and Union Chapel next month.
Having recently confirmed details of his second solo album ‘Get Sunk’, Matt Berninger - aka frontman of cult favourites The National - has now revealed that he’ll be giving its tracks their UK live debut via three intimate shows in Leeds and London.
Set to take place in the first week of April, these special gigs will see Matt perform stripped-back versions of songs lifted from the LP (due out on 30th May), alongside Sean O’Brien (‘Get Sunk”s producer and co-writer) and Julia Laws (aka Ronboy, with whom Matt collaborated on the album).
What’s more, in addition to the shows, Matt will also be taking part in a trio of Q&As (variously with Chris Hawkins, Huw Stephens, and Matt Everitt) to give audiences a pre-release insight into the immersive world of ‘Get Sunk’.
