El VY share new track ‘Paul Is Alive’
Matt Berninger of The National and Menomena’s Brent Knopf release their debut album at the end of this month.
El VY (aka. Matt Berninger of The National and Menomena’s Brent Knopf) have shared a new track, ‘Paul is Alive’. It lands ahead of their debut album ‘Return To The Moon,’ which comes out on October 30th. Matt’s brother Tom Berninger directed the song’s video.
“I think ‘Paul Is Alive’ is about finally finding the water that you can breathe in, finding a place or a person that makes you feel like you,” Matt Berninger said, speaking about the new track in a statement. “It’s very much my story of what Cincinnati was like, growing up and falling in love with music, discovering these little places where like-minded people could find each other.”
El VY performed their debut title track on Conan earlier this month. They come over to the UK for a tour in December, playing the following venues:
DEC
09 London, Electric Ballroom
10 London, Electric Ballroom
