Fazerdaze unveils plans for new album ‘Soft Power’
She’s also shared a video for its just-released lead single, ‘Cherry Pie’.

New Zealand’s Fazerdaze has announced that she’ll be releasing her second album, ‘Soft Power’, on 15th November (via section1/Partisan Records; via Buttrfly Records in Aus/NZ).
Following in the wake of her 2017 debut ‘Morningside’ and her 2022 comeback EP ‘Break!’, ‘Soft Power’ sees Fazerdaze’s Amelia Murray expand her sonic palette, incorporating electronic flourishes with classic rock moments for an LP that she has jokingly described as a “bedroom stadium record”.
“This is what I created during the darkest, loneliest, most tumultuous years of my life - entering womanhood, navigating the world, the music industry, and what I thought was love,” she has reflected. “In my scariest moments, this album was my anchor for hope, purpose, and light. I am so relieved and content to finally share ‘Soft Power’ with you.”
Leading the ‘Soft Power’ charge is lead single ‘Cherry Pie’ - a track which began life nearly a decade ago, and which has evolved with Fazerdaze to finally become the evocative, ethereal soundscape it is today.
