Neu Pick
Few Bits’ ‘Sweet Warrior’ video gets up close and personal
The new clip for the former Bulletin star is premiering on DIY as today’s Neu Pick.
Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Few Bits.
In lesser hands, the instrumentation backing Few Bits ‘Sweet Warrior’ could come across as a clusterfuck. All manner of bells and whistles are packed into the songwriter’s storytelling, but nothing ever feels cluttered - everything’s given space to breathe.
Not so in the track’s new clip, which gets up close and personal from the off. Close cut imagery of Karolien Van Ransbeeck and her band feel intimate in a way that perfectly matches the track itself (which recently starred in a Neu Bulletin, dontchaknow) and its picture-perfect portrayal of breathless shared moments.
Get the first spin of Few Bits’ ‘Sweet Warrior’ video below. It’s taken from her incoming new album ‘Big Sparks’, out September 30th via PIAS.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
