FKA Twigs covers Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’

Those nice people at BBC Radio 1 are having a whole load of Live Lounge sessions as part of their Even More Music month - the latest of which was the brilliant FKA Twigs.

In addition to playing her standout from recent record ‘LP1’, ‘Two Weeks’, she also covered Sam Smith’s hit track ‘Stay With Me’.

Speaking to host Alice Levine, FKA Twigs discussed why she chose to cover the song. She said: “I’m covering Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’… There was one line which basically alludes to saying, ‘I’m not in love with you and maybe this isn’t a serious thing, but it’s perfect for right now and it’s what I need emotionally right now,’ and maybe that’s just something that I have related to.”
