Fleet Foxes are getting back together
Fleet Foxes have been on a hiatus of sorts since 2014, when Robin Pecknold opted to put band duties aside for a degree at Columbia University. According to guitarist / vocalist Christian Wargo, however, it won’t be long before they’ll be getting back together, working on a follow-up to 2011’s ‘Helplessness Blues’. In an interview on DISTINCT, Wargo spoke about his recent discussions with Robin Pecknold, where they discussed getting the band back together. “It’s not, like, ‘announced’ or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,” he said. “Possibly unofficially at this stage, but it’s definitely a thing.” Last month, Pecknold performed two new songs while supporting Joanna Newsom on tour. They were both dubbed as solo material, although each song could be the first glimpse of a new Fleet Foxes record.
