Fleet Foxes Drummer J. Tillman To Release Solo Record

Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman is to release a solo album under the name ‘Father John Misty’.

Tillman, also a singer-songwriter in his own right, is to release his album ‘Fear Fun’ via Sub Pop - according to The Agency Group website.

His artist bio on the site reads:

‘In the summer of 2011, Joshua Tillman abruptly left Seattle, lived in his van for two months, wrote a novel on mushrooms and unexpectedly began writing songs under the name Father John Misty in a haunted Laurel Canyon shack. ‘Fear Fun’ was recorded in Los Angeles with Jonathan Wilson, and mixed by Phil Ek in Seattle. ”Fear Fun” will be released on Sub Pop May 1, 2012’

Fleet Foxes released their second album ‘Helplessness Blues’ in May 2011.
