Flight of the Conchords are going back on tour
Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie hit the road in late 2015.
Flight of the Conchords member Jemaine Clement has confirmed that the duo will tour North America this year. Speaking to Billboard at the Sundace Film Festival, Clement said that he and Bret McKenzie “are planning on touring later on in the year in the States.”
Clement attended the film festival to promote ‘People, Places, Things’, a film by Jim Strouses starring Clement who plays a struggling cartoonist and father for his twin daughters. Plans for the Flight of the Conchords tour aren’t “very solid yet,” says Clement, “but we’ve [him and McKenzie] been talking about it.”
The duo hope to play new material at the show, following their 2009 album ‘I Told You I Was Freaky’, released by Sub Pop. “I really don’t like the studio part of music,” Clement says. “I more enjoy playing live and letting others take care of the recording.”
