Florence and the Machine is “waiting” for a Glastonbury 2015 phone call

Florence Welch has hinted that Florence + The Machine could be playing Glastonbury 2015.

Speaking to XFM’s Jon Holmes earlier today (18th February), she said she was “still waiting for that phone call” from organiser Michael Eavis and that she would “speak to that person on the phone.”

Florence + The Machine are favourites to headline Worthy Farm this June, with Foo Fighters and AC/DC also tipped to play. Current odds place Welch and co. at 6/1.

New album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ is out 1st June. It’s being led by the ‘What Kind of Man’ single, unveiled last week. The new album was produced by Markus Dravs and features guest contributions from Paul Epworth and Kid Harpoon.

Earlier this week, speaking to Radio 1’s Zane Lowe she revealed the intense experience between albums. “I had a bit of a nervous breakdown,” she told Zane, elaborating on her “chaotic” relationship with drinking. Going between albums, she explained: “It was a bit of a crash landing in a sense… I’ve been so used to having a gig every day, always touring. You go from these huge stadiums and all of a sudden I’d moved out of my house, I was on my own.”
