Florence + The Machine announces UK shows
Three small gigs are lined up before Flo’s Rolling Stones support slot.
Florence + The Machine were one of a host of names announced to support The Rolling Stones on tour in June this week, and have now announced a handful of small UK shows in advance.
Florence & co will play Halifax, Scunthorpe and London in early June, with the show in the capital coming at the Royal Festival Hall.
The singer recently returned with new track ‘Sky Full Of Song’, a Record Store Day release and her first since 2014’s ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’.
“This was a song that just fell out of the sky fully formed,” says Florence. “Sometimes when you are performing you get so high, it’s hard to know how to come down. There is this feeling of being cracked open, rushing endlessly outwards and upwards, and wanting somebody to hold you still, bring you back to yourself. It’s an incredible, celestial, but somehow lonely feeling.”
Listen to ‘Sky Full Of Song’ and view the dates below.
