Four Tet Announces New Album Plans

The eight-track effort looks set to be released digitally on the 20th August through his own Text label.

Four Tet has announced plans to release a brand new album, titled ‘Pink’.

The simply-titled record will follow on front 2010’s ‘There Is Love In You’, and the eight-track effort looks set to be released digitally on the 20th August through his own Text label.

Otherwise, the only scheduled physical release looks to be a Japanese CD through label Hostess Entertainment on the 22nd August.

The news of the album follows a tweet by Kieran Hebden himself, stating he would reveal the news today, and so he has. The album looks to be comprised of a series of previously elease vinyl-only singles, and the tracklisting goes like this:

1. Locked
2. Lion
3. Jupiters
4. Ocoras
5. 128 Harps
6. Pyramid
7. Peace for Earth
8. Pinnacles

In other Four Tet news, he recently posted track ‘128 Harps’ as a taster of what to expect, whilst he also plans an all-nighter at Brixton Academy, set for 2nd November, with James Holden, Pangaea, Floating Points, Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Caribou joining For Tet himself.
