Four Tet Plans February Single Release

The one-sided 12-inch, due out next week, has a 24-word name.

Four Tet is to release a new single next week - and it’s got a rather lengthy title.

Out on one-sided 12-inch vinyl from 4th February and under the name KH rather than Four Tet, the single is called ‘The Track I’ve Been Playing That People Keep Asking About And That Joy Used In His RA Mix And Daphni Played On Boiler Room’.

Reporting the release, FACT have a suitably astute breakdown of the track’s title. It refers to both Joy Orbison’s Resident Advisor mix, and Daphni’s (that’s Caribou’s Dan Snaith) Boiler Room set.

Elsewhere, Kieran unleashed a ‘surprise’ album on us earlier this month. ‘0181’, available immediately to download via the artist’s SoundCloud a couple of weeks back, features recordings made by him between 1997 and 2001. A 12-inch pressing is said to being made available ‘soon’.

He also performed a two-hour set for Just Jam the day following the release, which is still available to watch online.

Listen to (or, of course, download) the whole of ‘0181’ below.
