Four Tet shares new Percussions track ‘Digital Arpeggios’

The track comes under Kieran Hebden’s lesser-known moniker.

Four Tet has been releasing odd tracks under his Percussions alias for since 2011, popping up in DJ sets and compilations as well as recently compiling them all together for his ‘2011-2014’ album earlier this year.

He’s now shared more new music under the alias in the form of ‘Digital Arpeggios’ a 9 minute riot of ultra-fun, colourful minimalism. The first half of the track is a wash of repeating, arcade-like synths building slowly to euphoric yet low-key climax as tinny percussion and muffled scratches join the party.

Though the track has been knocking around in DJ sets for a while now it had never had an official release until now. Accompanied by equally bubbly artwork of candy canes and stickers, the track is currently only available as a download via Bleep and iTunes.
