Four Tet Uploads 1997-1999 Releases To Bandcamp
Keiran Hebden’s signed up to the service to share recordings from the beginning of his career.

For all the hundreds of bands added to Bandcamp’s directory every day, it’s rare that any of them will be a big name artist. Sufjan Stevens released ‘The Age Of Adz’ on the service digitally, and a bloke called Jai Paul (or someone capable of stealing his laptop, depending on the story) uploaded one of the most anticipated debuts of the year in 2013.
It’s uncommon for someone to upload rare and unreleased material, too. Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet’s just signed up, shortly after declaring 2014 to be the end of Soundcloud, tongue firmly in cheek.
Releases spanning from 1997-99 have been uploaded to fourtet.bandcamp.com. ‘Glasshead’, ‘Dialogue’ (his first full-length), ‘Thirtysixtwentyfive’ and ‘Misnomer’ were all brought out through Output, preceding his 2001 album ‘Pause’ on Domino Records.
Hebden recently defied conventional release methods with his ‘Beautiful Rewind’ LP, previewing the album on Soundcloud before distributing the product to selected record stores.
