Franz Ferdinand air video for ‘Stand on the Horizon’ single
Dapper Scots’ new single is taken from ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’.
Staying resolute to their dapper style and twisted take on funk, Franz Ferdinand are airing a video for their new single, ‘Stand On The Horizon’.
The clip sees Alex Kapranos and co. dressed in all-gold suits (with the exception of Bob, who clearly isn’t into the jacket), soundtracking a curious session of speed dating.
It’s directed by Karan Kandhari, who had this to say about the video: “An awkward look at innocence and experience. An attempt to capture a sparkle in the melancholy and a warmth in the strangeness. I hope people find it both sad and funny / hopeful and human. We either achieved all of this, or totally failed and ended up with an alternative universe version of Franz Ferdinand.”
The video’s taken from their latest album ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’, which is out now.
