Calling all young people! This Monday (June 4th), DIY are holding a one-day event in London to launch our new special issue Do It Yourself - aimed at giving people who want to get involved in the music industry some invaluable tips and a helping hand.

As well as a host of super-informative panels throughout the day, we’ve also got a rather exciting treat lined up for the evening, too. Rounding off a day of good ‘ol learning, Gengahr will be taking to the stage for an intimate, stripped-back set, and they’ll be joined by Leeds cerebral pop newcomers Peakes.

Want more? OK. Well, we can also reveal some of our esteemed panellists now, too. Leading our key-note conversation will be Yala! Records’ Felix White (ex-of The Maccabees) and Morad Khokar. Elsewhere, we’ve got tips from artists including Black Honey’s Izzy B. Phillips and Demob Happy’s Matt Marcantonio, and industry pros including Bestival, Marathon Artists (home to Courtney Barnett, Pond and more), nationwide promoters Kilimanjaro, PRS Foundation, Help Musicians and tons more.

Registration for the day will kick off at 9.30am, after which the showcase gets under way at 7pm over at Two Tribes Brewery.

Tickets are priced at £15 (or £10 for students, ooh-er!) and include access to the full day’s programme + evening showcase, a lunch package - as provided by Vinyl Café - as well as a DIY goodie bag tote containing a copy of our new Do It Yourself supplement.

Grab ‘em here via Ticketweb or here from DICE.
