Getting down on Friday
Global Release Day to start on 10th July
Worldwide move to Friday will kick off this time next month, when Years & Years release their debut.

Following its confirmation back in February, the first ever global release day has been announced.
A worldwide release date will begin on Friday 10th July. From 00.01 that morning, to be precise. Singles and albums scheduled for that week will come out at the same time, and it’s being labelled New Music Fridays.
The move has been agreed upon by labels, retailers and artists. Until 10th July, releases will continue to come out at separate times in different territories.
Official Charts in the UK have moved accordingly, from its traditional slot to Fridays, where Greg James will present the weekly show.
Years & Years’ ‘Communion’ and EZTV’s debut are both set to be released on 10th July.
