Gold Class mix hard and soft in the video for ‘Rose Blind’

With their album ‘Drum’ on the horizon (to be precise, it’s out on 18th August via Felte), Australian post-punks Gold Class have offered up another taste of what to expect with a new clip for ‘Rose Blind’.

In it, the band show off a little bit of a sensitive side. For the most part. As well as seeing vocalist Adam Curley in close up as he performs, there’s also more extreme zoom ins of mechanical objects and, of course, roses. It contrasts hard and soft, solid and sensitive in a visually striking way.

Director Flagz from Defero Productions said of the video: “For ‘Rose Blind’ I wanted to show the similarities between the strong and the soft sides of human relationships, they may look different but in the end we all bleed”.

Adam added: “I was trawling through a car wreckers and made a kind of sculpture with a few parts I found. The idea was to examine skin and human figures against these brutal and soft materials - and the dark and light of things - in an uncomfortable way”.

As well as sharing the video, Gold Class have also announced a one-off show in London! They’ll be playing at the Moth Club on 26th September and tickets are on sale now.
