Gretel Hänlyn & Cola amongst final acts for Wide Awake 2023
They join headliner Caroline Polachek on the bill for the South London event.
The final wave of acts have been announced for this year’s Wide Awake Festival, and it includes Gretel Hänlyn, Cola (the band made up of former members of Ought) and Model Actriz.
They will join the previously announced headliner Caroline Polachek, as well as Black Country, New Road, Alex G, Jockstrap, Los Bitchos, Gilla Band, Arooj Aftab, Joy Orbison and others.
The event takes place on 27th May in London’s Brockwell Park. Tickets are still available.
Among other collaborators, Wide Awake is also working this year with Hate Zine, an independent, anti-capitalist publication that will be hosting panels and workshops with a focus on the housing crisis, the environment, gender equality in the music industry.
West London singer-songwriter Gretel Hänlyn released her latest EP ‘Head of the Love Club’ in March via VLF Records, which doubled as the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Slugeye’ EP.
