Un, deux, trois:
HalfNoise gets his skates on in the video for ‘French Class’
Prepare to go on a feel-good rollerblading voyage!
Zac Farro might be back in the game with Paramore, but he’s
got a new HalfNoise EP, ‘The Velvet Face’ lined up for later this month.
After announcing the follow-up to last year’s ‘Sudden
Feeling’, Zac also shared a brand new track, ‘French Class,’ a blend of
psych-pop tendencies with a touch of 80’s disco grooves. It’s a groove-laden
number that’s certain to let the good times roll, so of course there’s a
typically upbeat and free-flowing video to match.
Perhaps “rollerskating down a long road in the woods while
singing along to the tune” isn’t quite what you had in mind there but hey, this
is one heck of a feel-good trip. Zac’s pal Tony has his best retro suit on,
some suitably huge Elton John-like glasses and he pulls off some really fluid
moves. If you’re wondering where the “French class” comes in, there’s an
opportunity to sing along to the song’s extended outro en Francais thanks to
the addition of some karaoke-style text too!
