Hear Perfect Pussy remix Deerhoof’s ‘Exit Only’

Perfect Pussy have offered up a mind-blowing, industrial slab of noise in the form of an official remix for Deerhoof’s ‘Exit Only’. Spanning over eleven minutes, it’s almost half the length of the band’s ‘Say Yes To Love’ full-length from 2014, and it’s just as much of a severe, brave turn of form.

The remix backs Deerhoof’s ‘La Isla Bonita’, which came out last month. It’s made from original stems from the band’s basement recording sessions, but this discordant blast of energy mimics very little of the original track. All that’s left is a shared kinship between both bands of wanting to shred things up.

“Shaun [Sutkus, Perfect Pussy’s keyboardist] sent this to us last week, minutes before we went onstage at The Troubador and played our best show of the tour. Coincidence?” says Deerhoof drummer Greg Saunier.
