Hop Along share new track, ‘Texas Funeral’
Philadelphia four-piece are readying their new album, ‘Painted Shut’.
It’s always grim in Philadelphia. Four-piece Hop Along - hailing from the city - pain grim truths with sunny, scratchy tones. New song ‘Texas Funeral’ brings this combination to life, and it’s streaming below.
The track is taken from forthcoming second album ‘Painted Shut’, and it gets by on Frances Quinlan’s brutally honest chant of “none of this is gonna happen to me,” each line more enraged than the last.
‘Painted Shut’ is released on 4th May via Saddle Creek. Hop Along take to a North American tour next month, with UK dates to be announced soon.
