Hozier is suing Chilly Gonzales for saying he ripped off Feist
Andrew Hozier-Byrne has lodged a case in the High Court.
Chilly Gonzales is in trouble. Earlier this year, he noted the similarities between Hozier’s monster hit ‘Take Me to Church’ and Feist’s ‘How Come You Never Go There’? And Hozier isn’t happy.
According to a report from Ireland’s Sunday Times, Andrew Hozier-Byrne has lodged a defamation case in the High Court against pop music surveyor Gonzales. The pianist initially told German station 1Live: “I’m being told by the research staff that Feist’s track came out well over a year before Hozier’s. Doesn’t look so good does it? ‘Take Me To Church’? Maybe Feist should take him to court.”
