IDLES bring chaotic, triumphant version of ‘Danny Nedelko’ to Jools Holland
King Princess and more also came to the first in a new series of the BBC institution.
Last night brought the first in a new series of Later… with Jools Holland, and IDLES made their debut on the show, performing a brilliantly chaotic version of ‘Danny Nedelko’.
Barely staying on their allotted stage, Lee Kiernan clambers on top of Jools’ piano within seconds, before Mark Bowen decides to have a little go on the keys himself later on. It’s outrageous, shambolic and everything that makes IDLES great.
They were joined on the show by King Princess, who, ahead of her debut UK tour, brought first single ‘1950’ to Jools.
Also on last night’s show were Soft Cell, Jess Glynne and more.
IDLES are currently mid-way through a huge US tour, before heading back to the UK for a sold-out run next month.
