IDLES offer up new track ‘Rabbit Run’ taken from forthcoming film Caught Stealing
The quintet’s latest offering lands ahead of their two-day Bristol Block Party this weekend.

Just when you thought IDLES might be getting ready to wind down, they’ve gone and released a new single.
The band - who are set to cap off the ‘TANGK’ era with two huge shows in Bristol this weekend - have shared their latest offering, ‘Rabbit Run’, which doubles as a contribution to the soundtrack of forthcoming crime film Caught Stealing.
For the soundtrack of the Darren Aronofsky movie, the band have not only contributed four new original tracks - including this new single - but they’ve also recorded the whole score, which has been composed by Rob Simonsen.
Speaking of the collaboration, the band’s Joe Talbot has said: “This has been a huge opportunity for us that seemingly came about after a chance meeting backstage at Fallon when we both happened to be guests on the same day. But in hindsight, I realise that Darren is one of my favourite directors and his films have in some ways made me who I am as an artist. This lucid dream has been a lifetime in the making and one that I will live over and over with a huge sense of humility and joy.”
The film’s director, Aronofsky, continues: “I built Caught Stealing to be a rollercoaster of fun and wanted to supercharge the film by main lining a punk sensibility. I don’t think a band has really been tasked with performing a score for a movie. Who better to collaborate with than IDLES? It has been a dream watching them bend their notes to blast a hole in our movie screen.”
The band’s new track lands ahead of their huge Bristol Block Party shows this weekend, which take place tonight (1st August) and tomorrow.
