Ireland’s Bleeding Heart Pigeons preview new EP with ‘A Hallucination’
Trio are playing a DIY Presents show next week, followed by a slot at Latitude.
Bleeding Heart Pigeons are a band defined by gusto and gigantic, galloping ideas that seem to run off ahead of the West Limerick trio. Ambition on the scale of new song ‘A Hallucination’ isn’t usually reserved for newbies, but that’s the gist of the title-track from their new EP, forthcoming on AMF Records (21st August).
The song lands ahead of an appearance at DIY’s ‘Don’t July To Be Baby’ series - free gigs at London’s The Old Blue Last. It’s led by Micheál Keating, a frontman bringing hip-shaking theatricality to an already playful cut. Evolving from humble beginnings, it morphs into an ever-developing, eight-minute juggernaut.
