Jimmy Whispers announces UK show with DIY Presents

Exciting announcement time! Jimmy Whispers will be playing a UK show for DIY Presents this month.

The Chicago newcomer - who released his ‘Summer in Pain’ debut earlier this year - plays London’s The Old Blue Last on Saturday 22nd August.

Hell be joined by Birmingham force Mutes and Neon Wolf, completing a triple-bill in association with Bird on the Wire.

Whispers’ first work - released on Field Mates Records - is a lesson in how to bring oddities to pop without overdoing it. The self-professed “greatest bedroom popper in the tri-state area” lives up to his billing with earnestly weird songwriting, sharing lots in common with Mac DeMarco and The Wave Pictures.
